RESTRICTED AREA:.

Attention: Restricted Area R-2310 A (restricted area approximately 15 miles east/ southeast of Mesa Gateway Airport) is now active by NOTAM on a regular basis.

For the past several years, this restricted area has seen practically no use. This has led to the general practice of assuming it is never in use.  In the past several weeks, however,  it has again been activated for military use.

Scottsdale Flight Standards District Office has received phone calls from the military requesting assistance in spreading the word about the more frequent use of this Restricted Area.

Remember, this is a charted restricted area, and there are NOTAMs available describing the effective times.

Please call flight service or receive a DUATS briefing to receive NOTAMs for this and other airspace use.

For further questions, contact the Scottsdale FSDO.

Thank-you for your assistance.
